Dating Hoyer

"Sorry, but there is neither a
date nor a number code system that could give you information of
production date of older Hoyer guitars. Some people like Norbert
Schnepel (www.musikkeller.com)
or me can give a rough information due to some significant
issues at the instruments. Hoyer company has been established in
1874 in Schönbach (noe Tchechian Republik), from 1945 Erlangen,
actually Düsseldorf. The eldest existing Hoyer guitar is from
1852! We have an instrument of ca. 1890." [Source: Michael

"I founded "Nik Huber Guitars" in
1997 but started building in 1993.
We have a handwritten serial # on the back of the headstock. The
first digit indicated the year and the next digits the total
number of guitars.
eg. 8 665 (made in 2008, the 665th guitar we have made)."

"I began the brand in 2006.
The parts are from Korea and the
construction is in China.
Dating Hutchins Guitars
Most of my early guitars were very
short runs,, less than 50, and so do not have a serial number.
The later models that do have a number on the back of the
headstock run as (Letter Letter) - Model Code, Number in Run,
Year.
I will stabilize this serial
number format as I stabilise the range." [Source: Gary Hutchins,
