In 1992, the business name was changed to The Vintage Amp Shop to better reflect my ever growing interest in vintage tube amplifiers.  Pennignton amp name was introduced to celebrate 20th anniversary.  Suspect they were introduced 2002.

British Music Strings (a London string maker) was founded in 1918. a London string maker [Source: Vintage Drum Guide]

I came across this 1977 Phoenix Valve Pre Guitar Amplifier on eBay:  Perspex front.  These were endorsed by Ritchie Blackmore and were made in the United Kingdom.

It has a Valve Pre stage matched with a solid state amplifier, there is an AUX control which either hints at it having an aux circuit for adding effects.

Phoenix Amplification

Based in Winnipeg, Canada, Phoenix Amplification started out in 2002 as a custom guitar pedal service, servicing and building effects pedals. Run by Nishant Balakrishnan, the company has now expanded to build custom analog solutions for musicians, and has several lines of quality hand-built amps and effects.
