Australian manufacturer of amps
since 1970.
"Started 1970. Still make amps in
Melbourne. Early models had Year/Month serial stickers or
printed numbers of engraved numbers.
eg. 75322 would be MARCH 1975
No.22.
Since about early 80's we stopped
using serial numbers." [Source: Joe Bonich, Jade Amps, email

The JCA Circuits GR 1.6 "Golden
Ratio" Amplifier is the first amplifier offered. I have plans
and am presently working on another amp design TBA. The GR was
introduced in January 2006.
I hand build each GR here in my shop in Pottstown, PA, USA--they
are designed, built, and sold by one guy--me. There are no
compromises in myshop. I sign and date the interior chassis of
each amplifier I create."

 |
Jenkins Sound Shop, owned and
operated by Doug and Debbi Holt. Located in Northeast
Mississippi. Developed a line of cabinets utilizing a high
quality Birch veneer core ply-wood with a 1/2” baffle board
dadoed into the inside perimeter of the cabinet. Though very
labor intensive compared to traditional methods this design
ultimately contributes to produce a very lively and dynamic
sound. Since the introduction of the original JSS212 in 1996 to
our latest addition to the line, the Highway 61, we have tweaked
and improved these unique designs to offer some of the best
sounding cabs available on the market. [Source: Internet

The first Jetter Gear pedals went
on sale in 2006.The serial number tells the year/month. All
recent (last two years) have the year then month format that are
the first four numbers of the serial number--YYMM...Prior to
that, month might precede year but there are some with the
current format as well. [Source: Brad, Jetter, email 8/9/2010]

Jim Kelley amplifiers "were
made between 1978 and 1985.
The amp shop was in Tustin,
California, and the cabinet shop was at my dad's
house in Upland, Ca. The company name was Active Guitar
Electronics, the amps were Jim Kelley
Amplifiers which is now trademarked.

The prototypes were all made
in 1978 and early '79 had the name Fortune on
the nameplate. Serial numbers starting with 9 were made
in 1979. All the others, beginning in
1980 started with zero. There may be a handwritten tag
inside the chassis with the name of the person who wired the
amp, and perhaps the year. I wired the
prototypes, and either Suzie,
Christina, or Pam wired all the rest.
They were all very good at it.
