I remember that Coronet was the brand I could afford in the 1970s while I was drooling at Twin Reverbs.

Crate

Produced since 1979. Early solid state amps looked like a crate - hence the name.

"Unfortunately, there is no [dating] equivalent for Crate.  However, there were only two serial number systems in place for Crate; pre 1988, and post 1988.
